How to automatically connect a domain to Shopify
When using the Shopify platform, you can add an existing domain from another company to provide a branded shopping experience for your customers. With the automatic connection tool, you can quickly and easily connect supported domains.
Steps to connect an automatic domain
- Visit the Shopify admin center and log in to your user account.
- From the Online Store menu, select Domains .
- Click on the Connect existing domain option.
- Type the domain name you want to connect and click Next .
- Choose the relevant provider for your domain registration.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection process.
Important notes
- Please note that the automated process is only available for certain domain providers.
- The DNS server update process may take up to 48 hours.
- Once the domain is connected, you can manage the settings directly from the Shopify platform.
