Conflict is a part of life. Everyone has different desires, and sometimes these needs conflict. You must know how to see the conflict clearly, handle it appropriately, and find the best solution.
Additionally, it is important to understand the needs of all parties involved in order to properly conduct this process. With the expertise of ASU’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, the Conflict Management specialization will provide you with the tools, knowledge, and strategies needed to handle conflict.
You will learn the basic principles and become familiar with your conflict management toolkit. Then you will apply them directly in practical situations. Conflict management can seem like resolving an argument—but it is much more than that. To resolve a conflict, you need to know what type it is and what solutions are available, as well as understand what each party is trying to achieve during the conflict.
