What is a Target Price Order?
It is an order request that allows you to specify your preferred price for placing a buy or sell order.
What is a Target Buy Order?
It is a target order to buy cryptocurrency at a specific price.
What is a Target Sell Order?
It is a target order for selling a cryptocurrency at a specific price.
Is it possible to change a target instruction?
Target instructions cannot be changed. But if your order hasn't been executed yet, you can cancel it and submit a new one.
Can I cancel a target order?
You can cancel your order (unless otherwise specified) by accessing the menu and clicking on Target Price > Open Orders. But this will be subject to your teaching situation. If your order has been executed, cancellation will not be possible.
Does a target order have an expiration date?
There is no expiration date. Your order will remain ‘open' until the set price is reached and executed.
How can I check the status of my teaching?
You can check this by accessing the menu and clicking on Target Price > Open Orders / Order History. We will also notify you when your order has been placed through an in-app notification and confirmation email.
Teaching Situations
- Not perfect – there was a problem in creating the instruction. Please try again or cancel.
- Open – when the order has been delivered and is awaiting execution.
- Processed – when the process of executing the instruction is almost complete.
- Done – when the order was executed.
- Cancelled – when the order was canceled.
When will my target order be executed?
Target orders will be executed when the market price reaches the price you specified, depending on the market liquidity. However, your order will remain ‘open' if the market price has not reached the set price. That is:
- In the case of a buy order at the target: the price set to buy the cryptocurrency has not been reached.
- In the case of a sell order on purpose: the price set to sell the cryptocurrency has not been reached.

You can set up target orders using your crypto wallet, fiat wallet* or credit/debit card in the Crypto.com app. *Please note that Fiat wallet is not available in Canada.
How do the funds/crypto assets get out of my account?
When you place a target order, we will immediately lock in the appropriate amount of funding for buy orders, or the relevant crypto asset to be sold for sell orders. The funds or crypto assets cannot be used elsewhere in the app once the instruction has been placed. You will not be able to withdraw or transfer the relevant funds or crypto assets if your order status is ‘Open'. If you wish to access the funds or crypto assets, please cancel your Aim Order.
Commentary:
- There will only be 100% full execution and no order parts will be made.
- Maximum number of target instructions: 20 active instructions per user.
- Each target order has a maximum Mennoker limit of $5,000 for non-Prime users. Read more about Crypto.com Prime here.
- When users execute target orders, we will immediately lock the appropriate amount to fund or the crypto assets, and those funds or crypto assets will no longer be available for use elsewhere in the app.
- Target orders executed with a credit/debit card are valid for 30 days. After 30 days, the order will be automatically canceled if not executed and the locked credit will be released.
- Any interest or other fees associated with your target instructions imposed by third parties will be your responsibility.
- Credit/debit card promotions for spot trading (e.g., 7-day commission waiver for credit/debit card purchases) do not apply to target orders placed with a credit/debit card.

- CRO Lockup or CRO Staking Level of the Card Holder: Blue Ethics or Lower – $1000
- Ruby Steel – $2000
- Jade Green/Indigo Royal – $5000
- Icy White/Gold Rose – $20,000
- Obsidian – $40,000
When will the monthly limit for credit card purchases be reset?
The monthly limit will be reset at the end of the first day of each month.
Which markets are eligible for the Target Instruction feature?
The Purpose Instruction feature is available to approved users of the Crypto.com app in all regions.
