How does it work?
Make your crypto investments simpler by setting up in-app recurring purchases to automatically buy your top coins weekly, every two weeks, or monthly. A fixed purchase with a set budget, regardless of the current price, is called the average dollar cost (DCA). It is an investment strategy that is preferred by many to reduce the risk associated with trying to time the market. By making purchases at regular times with a certain budget, you will be able to get more when the prices are low and less when they are high, which will make your purchase costs equal over time. This strategy helps you reduce the impact of market fluctuations and gradually build a stable crypto portfolio.

Recurring crypto purchases can be set up using a credit card, crypto wallet, and fiat wallet in the Crypto.com app. Payment methods may vary by region. Maximum number of recurring purchases per month: 100 per user

When will the monthly purchase limit be reset? The monthly limit will be reset at the end of the first day of each month. When will the planned purchase be made? The pending order will be created at the time of scheduling and the planned purchase will be made at the end of the day in the user's local time. Is it possible to set the exact amount of crypto I want to buy? Only the amount of the planned purchase can be defined as a value in U.S. dollars. The amount of crypto you receive will be based on the rate at the time of making the planned purchase. How do I cancel a repurchase? Click on the menu on the main page, then “Recurring Buy”, then “Schedule Details”, then “Cancel Schedule”. Once you've completed the steps, you'll confirm the cancellation.
The first planned acquisition is on the same day it was created
If your first purchase is on the date the order was created, it will be charged immediately and cannot be canceled.
The first planned purchase is within 7 days of creation
Your first purchase can only be canceled within 7 days of creating your order. Example: I made my first purchase for my week on Monday, the order was scheduled for purchase on Saturday every week, it will be charged on Saturday and I can cancel the first purchase only before Saturday.
The first planned purchase is for more than 7 days after creation
If your first purchase is scheduled for a date that is more than 7 days after the date the order was created, it will be charged on the 8th day from the date of creation and can only be canceled before the 8th day. Example: I made my first monthly purchase on July 1st, the order was scheduled for purchase on the last day of each month, the execution is on July 31st, my credit card will be charged on July 8th and the first purchase can only be cancelled between July 1st and 8th.
Follow-up Purchases
For follow-on purchases, payment will be charged on the planned date and can be canceled at any time prior to the execution date. How is the maximum number of recurring purchases per month calculated?
- Assuming that there is a variance in the weekly instance each month, to ensure that each weekly/bi-weekly purchase occurs each time under the monthly limit, we assume that each month's weekly instance is 5 when we define the use of a weekly purchase.
- When creating a weekly repurchase, the purchase amount must be less than or equal to the remaining monthly limit / 5 occurrences when creating a bi-weekly repurchase, the purchase amount must be less than or equal to the remaining monthly limit / 3 instances when creating a monthly recurring purchase, the purchase amount must be less than or equal to the remaining monthly limit
Let's assume the following:
- For a user with 25000 CRO linkage, the monthly limit is 5000 USD
Example A – Creating a BTC Repurchase with 100 USD on a Weekly Basis
- Maximum Weekly Purchase Limit: $5000 / 5 = 1000 USD Monthly Limit Remaining After Purchase Creation: 5000 – (100 x 5) = 4500 USD
Example B – Create a repurchase of ETH with 200 USD every 2 weeks Given that you have created a weekly repurchase of BTC with 100 USD, the remaining monthly limit will be 4500 USD
- Maximum limit remaining bi-weekly: $4500 / 3 = $1500 USD Monthly limit remaining after purchase creation: 4500 – (200 x 3) = 3900 USD
Example C – Create a CRO repurchase with $1400 each month Given that you have created two recurring purchases, the remaining monthly limit will be $3900
- Remaining Monthly Limit: 3900 USD Remaining Monthly Limit after Purchase Creation: 3900 – 1400 = 2500 USD
Example D – Canceling all planned purchases before the next purchase
- Monthly limit remaining after cancellation: USD 2500 + total amount of planned repurchase = USD 5000
Example E – Cancellation of all planned purchases after the first purchase has been made
- Monthly limit remaining after cancellation: 5000 – Total amount of completed purchases for that month = 3800 USD
